For the 2025 Djilba Summit, we chose the Woordawort (dragonfly) as our guiding totem. Deeply significant to Noongar people, it symbolised transformation, adaptability, and spiritual connection—qualities that reflected the purpose of our gathering.
Djilba, a season of transition, mirrors the dragonfly’s journey through change and renewal. Its link to waterways reminded us to care for our life-giving environments, while its role in Noongar storytelling inspired clarity, vision, and unity as we came together in strength and purpose.
